This instrument is very strong and is practically the same as the next following, except that it has not the battery included and consequently a smaller case. It can be used with any acid battery or with one or two cells of dry battery which are listed further on in this department. This instrument is especially desirable for the use of travelers, inasmuch as it is very small and portable; size of base 5¾x2¾, but still it has all the power of the larger instruments.
